Architectural Assistant

A beautiful market town only 15 miles (1 short train stop) from Leicester, with historic buildings, great pubs and bars, a wide range of independent shops, three fast trains to London every hour… And a well-established architectural studio who are currently looking to strengthen their team with an experienced Part 2 Architectural Assistant.

As their new Architectural Assistant your duties will include: 

• Assistance in the production of Architectural drawings, reports and concepts 
• Carry out studies and design proposals for review Assistance with planning applications, Building Regulations and appeals
• Work autonomously on concept layouts to comply with UK Building Regulations
• Inspection of building work on site

Key skills and experience you’ll need to have:

• RIBA accredited Part 2 degree with minimum one year's UK work experience in practice; or Part 1 degree with 2 years of relevant UK experience
• ArchiCAD proficiency would be an advantage; applicants with strong AutoCAD/Revit skills and the ability to learn new software quickly are also welcome
• Working knowledge of UK Building Regulations
