Job Details

We are looking for a talented Part II qualified Architect to join our Harrogate Studio to work on projects across all sectors.  Successful candi­dates will have excellent communication, design and technical skills and be highly motivated to create good architecture.

Candidates should ideally have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in a UK architectural practice, with a proven record of delivering high quality design.  Proficiency in Autodesk Revit is highly desirable.

The successful candidate would join a highly motivated team of architects in the delivery of a varied portfolio of work including education, heritage, residential, community, sports, and hotels. The role offers a great opportunity to gain experience on projects from concept through to site delivery with support and mentoring from senior architects.

seven architecture was established in 2006 and has steadily expanded to now employ over 20 professional staff across 4 design studios in Manchester, Harrogate, London and North Wales. It is an enjoyable place to work, focused on designing places to be enjoyed.

The practice supports and develops its staff to deliver design excellence and outstanding client service. Since inception a varied and exciting portfolio has been established, covering a wide range of public and private sector commissions, from £100k to £50m in construction value.

Particular areas of expertise have been developed in the design of effective education environments; creating value from Listed Buildings and the integration of a sustainable design approach.

A predominant theme across the practice’s portfolio is the delivery of projects which are often unique; challenging in nature; phased and on constrained sites. An increasing number also involve Heritage Assets. These are commissions where the practice offers value to its clients through the particular expertise, experience and enthusiasm of its team.

seven was formed in May 2006 by the current practice Directors and has grown steadily over the last 17 years to a complement of 22 across three studios in Manchester, Harrogate and North Wales. A varied and exciting portfolio has been established, covering a wide range of public and private sector commissions from £100k to £60m in construction value. 

Particular areas of expertise have been developed in managing complex projects, multi-stakeholder clients; creating flexible design solutions to meet the ever changing needs of society; creating value from Listed Buildings and the integration a sustainable design approach. Investment in specialist skills such as Conservation, BIM and Passivhaus qualifications provide in-house expertise to integrate contextual, technical and environmental principles into responsive and responsible design solutions.
