Job Details

Pegasus Group have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Urban Designer to join our Bristol team as we pursue and develop new growth opportunities throughout the South West area.  We have the flexibility to consider candidates at Associate through to Director level (dependent on your ability to demonstrate a client base and new workstreams to the business) as we search for the right candidate to continue the growth of our Design team and deliver successful and sustainable developments across the South West.

This position will play a lead role in preparing design proposals and planning applications for primarily residential-led developments but may also involve some high level masterplanning for commercial/employment schemes. As we develop new growth opportunities you will play a key part in promoting and developing projects with new and existing clients and help raise the profile of Pegasus Design and our reputation for design quality. You will help lead and develop a fantastic team of designers to deliver successful and sustainable developments for our growing client base.

Person Specification

We are seeking an enthusiastic professional with a real interest in Urban Design and the Built Environment, ideally benefiting from a commercially astute mind set, who will assist with the promotion of Pegasus Design. We are looking for the successful candidate to hold a relevant degree, preferably postgraduate qualification in Urban Design, and have extensive post-qualification experience gained in a design practice working on urban design or masterplanning projects with extensive knowledge of the local areas and authorities.

You will be able to independently deliver all stages of the planning and design process, including the preparation and overseeing of conceptual urban design and planning work, feasibility studies, masterplanning, design & access statements and design strategies for residential and mixed-use schemes for developers, land owners and private clients. Experience of architectural design and delivery is desirable but not essential.

Pegasus Group is an equal opportunities employer and we are committed to ensuring fairness and equality for all. We offer an excellent remuneration package dependent upon experience and potential and provide a flexible and supportive working environment designed to help you reach your full potential and ensure a flexible work life balance.

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK's leading development consultancies and to make a significant contribution to the further success of the business and design team.
