Location: London (currently working remotely with return to London office in due course)
Hours: 35 hours per week, full time, 12-month fixed term contract
Do you have an interest in championing learning opportunities for pupils and young people?
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Learning Manager to lead and develop our schools and young people programmes. The postholder will have the opportunity to shape a well-established and inspiring learning programme delivered in schools nationally, at our HQ in London and online, as well as lead the development of our Young People’s Programme.
This role is integral to the delivery of the RIBA’s broader cultural activities, and includes the management and development of a wide range of audience focused opportunities such as:
- National Schools Programme
A high-achieving unique programme partnering architects and schools - Youth Engagement
Focusing on social mobility and reaching diverse audiences through work experiences and the establishment of a Young People’s Programme - Learning Programmes of Exhibitions
Creating exciting opportunities for students and young people associated with our highly regarded public programmes - Architecture Ambassadors
Cultivation, recruitment and training of our Architecture Ambassadors - Digital programming
Expanding our existing digital offer for schools
All deliverables will be underpinned by strategic thinking and planning based on reliable data and research. The successful candidate will manage a small team which works closely with colleagues delivering our informal learning programmes for children/families, older adults and communities.
As our Learning Manager for schools and young people, you will bring experience of high-quality cultural programming, a sound understanding of working with schools, strong motivational skills and an aptitude for teamwork. You will also be passionate about inclusion and diversity. Your ability to transform ideas and targets into practical and meaningful outcomes will make you a stand-out candidate for the role.
