Are you a Junior Town Planner who is looking for their next exciting step up the Town Planning career ladder? Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a modern and diverse practice of Surveyors, Planners and Consultants in their search for a Junior Level Planner to join their multi-disciplinary close-knit planning team in their North West office.

This impressive company and position is perfect for an eager Junior Planner who wants to be a part of a forward-thinking and energetic Planning team. This practice prioritises its employees professional, and personal, development and growth.

This is a unique opportunity for a Junior Level Planner to work closely with the Directors and Senior Members of the team. My client has been established for over 50 years and is a family-run practice. Although they are based in a rural location, they work on small to large scale projects, from master planning to land promotions of 1000+ dwellings and s106 agreements.

The ideal candidate will be expected to perform and support the team in the following:

  • Managing a range of planning applications, appeals and pre-application enquiries.
  • Assessing planning applications and monitoring outcomes.
  • Researching and designing planning policies to guide development.
  • Undertaking regular community engagement and committee meetings.
  • Communicating with all stakeholders involves in the planning process.
  • Supporting senior team members as required.
  • Project manage new and existing development schemes through the planning process.
  • Negotiating satisfactory S106 agreements and planning conditions to achieve satisfactory planning consent.
  • Undertake systematic planning research and site searching of development opportunities with owners, agents, and advisors.

The ideal applicant for this Junior Town Planner position will hold a degree in planning or a relative field of study. Previous experience of 2+ years in a planning role ideal, however a positive, energetic, can-do attitude is essential!
