Job Title-Senior Traffic Engineer
Location-Bristol
Salary-£37,000 to £45,000
Our client has an exciting opportunity in their roads team for a Senior Engineer in their Bristol office.
You will be joining an established team that will be involved in the winning and delivery of projects and services to a range of both local and national clients including:
Local Authority Clients in the South West Region including WECA, Bristol, Bath & North East Somerset, Cardiff County Council and Cornwall CouncilTransport for LondonMidlands Highways AllianceWessex WaterKey Responsibilities:
Undertake Design Lead duties in the preparation of preliminary & detailed design and project delivery of traffic engineering, local transport, urban design/streetscape and local authority/municipal highway schemes Financial and programme managementUndertake Health & Safety duties including ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for team members and fulfilling all responsibilities for safety, health, and the environment in the designShare knowledge to ensure the wider team are up to date with current best practice, techniques, and innovationSupporting the career planning, training, and development of team membersSupport Senior Management of local team including recruitmentInput into detailed client briefs and fee proposals and contribute to major bids Minimum Requirements:
Demonstrate experience and knowledge of developing detailed design solutions to traffic engineering problemsKnowledge and experience in the following aspects: cycling design, traffic calming, drainage, junction design, and footway and carriageway improvement designAbility to demonstrate understanding and application of relevant design standards and regulations.Proven ability of leading single and multi-disciplined projects as Design / Technical LeadExperience of dealing directly with Clients, Local Authorities and Key StakeholdersDemonstrate an awareness of project management and project planningUnderstanding of Health and Safety requirements including CDM responsibilitiesExcellent technical and communication skills and ability to work well within a team If you would like to discuss this position further, please call James Hardie at Penguin Recruitment on 01792 365 000 or email james.hardie@penguinrecruitment.co.uk
