Be part of the vision; be part of the RIBA.

The RIBA is a global professional membership body, and a cultural organisation, driving excellence in architecture.

Salary: £37,000 - £40,000 per annum dependent on experience

Location: Initially working remotely with return to London office in due course

Hours: 35 hours per week, 12-month fixed term contract (though we’re very happy to discuss part-time working and job-shares)

Since our foundation in 1834, The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) has championed better buildings, communities and the environment through architecture and its members. Here’s your chance to make a difference and to ensure excellence in the profession.

We are currently recruiting for a CPD Assessment Manager in the RIBA CPD Providers Network. You will lead the assessment of new CPD material from construction product manufacturers. You will work with friendly and close-knit teams at RIBA and NBS to deliver this role in ensuring product-related CPD can lead to safe specifications.

2020 was a very big year for us, with a record number of new companies joining the service to deliver CPD.  Your role will be to assess new and updated CPD material from the subscribing manufacturers, against our standards, to support our CPD Providers in this, and to work with us to update the standards.

You must have a postgraduate or professional qualification in a relevant built environment discipline (for example, chartered architect, architectural technologist or building services engineer) and considerable technical practical experience of working in a construction industry organisation or regulatory environment. You must also have demonstrable understanding of issues pertinent to health, life and fire safety and the CDM Regulations; sustainable design and construction; inclusive environments; safe UK specification practice; and UK construction legislation and regulations. Note: If you do not have the requisite qualifications and experience your application can’t be considered.

You will also have good IT skills, experience of working with Microsoft applications, and digital information and collaboration tools.  You will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, understandable, high quality reports for customers.

In return we offer a great package, great working environment, great colleagues and the chance to really make a difference. If you think you have what it takes to perform this role effectively, then we’d love to hear from you. You are asked to send a CV and a cover letter. In the cover letter you will need to outline and address your suitability for this role.

If you would like to apply for the position, please submit your CV and covering letter using the form below (for this position, “Work Examples” are not required so please submit your CV or covering letter again in this field) Additionally, please ensure that you complete our Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form which will be submitted separate from your application
