Conservation Architect

Planning Recruitment have been appointed by a well-established, multi-award winning architectural practice with an exceptional reputation in conservation and historic Architecture, to help them in their search for an experienced Conservation Architect.

As one of the longest standing Architectural practices specialising in Conservation/Historic Architecture, the practice have developed an impressive portfolio of clients and have completed projects in many sectors including Ecclesiastical, Cultural, Community, Residential and Education. As well as providing essential repair, extension, refurbishment and reordering services, the practice have also developed a reputation for high quality new build projects within historic settings.

The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate proven experience working on conservation projects across all RIBA Plan of Work stages and be able to run and work independently on a wide range of projects from small repairs through to new build schemes within sensitive conservation areas. You will also be expected to prepare heritage impact assessments and carry out Quinquennial inspections. The ideal candidate will possess Conservation accreditation, either AABC or SCA/CA/CR or an equivalent overseas accreditation. Those with extensive conservation experience without accreditation will also be considered.

Located on the South-East of London, the practice work predominantly in London and the South East, although their current workbook extends to other parts of the UK. As such, the ideal candidate will possess a driving license and car as you will be expected to travel to site and meetings.
