This lectureship post has become available within the Department of Architecture and the Visual Arts at the School of Architecture, Computing and Engineering to teach technical sustainability within the subject area professional Architecture. 

As an expert in this field you will deliver lectures, workshops, seminars, tutorials, and practical sessions including site visits. In addition to preparing teaching materials to conduct assessments in accordance with UEL’s quality standards, you will contribute to the school’s vibrant research and/or knowledge transfer activities which includes obtaining research grants and funding. 

You will have a degree, ARB part 1 ,2,3 in Architecture and professional registration with the ARB or engineering equivalent. You will make a substantial contribution to studio technical sustainability including active and passive environmental design in supporting studio studies on the BSc and MArch (ARB/RIBA Part 1 and 2) course including ensuring it is in full compliance with PSRB regulatory guidelines, particularly in relation to the latest sustainable development/safety requirements. You will have advanced knowledge of technical sustainable design including analysis, concept development, design evaluation and quantification and detail specification. You will also have a strong track record of teaching experience in Architecture studio and an outstanding commitment to the student experience.
