Location: Initially working remotely with potential return to office (Cambridge) in due course

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the East of England regional team for a Member Support Manager.  We are looking for an astute, energetic and affable individual to engage with our diverse membership audience. Working within a small regional team as part of a larger international organisation, this varied role is crucial to providing and improving services to members across the East of England (Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Suffolk and Norfolk).

A confident communicator with a passion for outstanding customer service, you will work closely with our member led volunteer groups to help continually nurture their programmes of events and initiatives. You will develop and maintain good relationships with existing members in the region in addition to attracting new ones through a regular programme of practice visits and events. You will enjoy meeting members, be sensitive to their needs and be able to represent the RIBA professionally and appropriately in whatever you do.

You will lead on activity relating to architectural education across the region, maintaining strong relationships with schools of architecture, supporting related volunteer groups, and developing and delivering a range of student engagement initiatives. A knowledge of architectural education and an appreciation of the student journey would therefore be beneficial.

You will work with colleagues to effectively develop and deliver policy and public affairs outreach to key stakeholders in the region, to influence the environment in which our members work.

You will be a good team player but also able to work alone. You will be confident with use of technology to engage and communicate effectively across a range of platforms both internally and externally. You will be able to manage a varied portfolio of activities, prioritising and meeting targets and deadlines. Occasional out of hours working is required, to attend events. Due to our geography, we are ideally seeking someone who can more easily cover the west side of the region, however travel to other parts of the region would also be required where necessary.

The RIBA offers employees a range of staff benefits including 26.5 days of annual leave + half-day for Christmas shopping, paid closure between Christmas & New Year, season ticket loan and generous pension scheme. For more details on our benefits click here

If you would like to apply for the position, please submit your CV and covering letter using the form below. Additionally, please ensure that you complete our Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form which will be submitted separate from your application.
