Penguin Recruitment are delighted to be supporting this well-established practice based in the Leicestershire area, looking for an experienced part 2 architectural assistant to join their team.

Our client is a team of experienced Architects and Technologists covering a wide range of architectural disciplines. And offer services through every step of the project from inception to completion. They offer a complete and comprehensive range of services, providing a complete design package for their clients.

They use Revit in practice so proficiency in this would be essential, and SketchUp would be beneficial. Proven experience in Residential projects, especially housing developments would also be beneficial.

Key Duties as a Part 2 Architectural Assistant you will be:

• Working as part of a small team, producing drawings and producing and submitting planning applications
• Assisting in the preparation of drawings, reports, visualisations, schedules and specifications
• Producing planning application drawings and develop further detailed stages suitable for Building Regulation applications, tender and construction
• Liaising with clients and other consultants to develop designs and prepare documentation for tender purposes, including specification writing

Essential skills/ qualifications for this Part 2 Architectural Assistant role:

• Part 2 qualified
• Creative thinker with interest in concept and detail design.
• Good drawing hand, strong design and presentation skills
• Capability to collaborate, to innovate and to learn;
• Knowledge of UK planning policies and building regulations
• Excellent technical, communication and organisational skills
• 2+ years' experience
• Exceptional portfolio and design skills.
• Proven track record of detailed design and delivery of projects on site

Commutable Locations:

Leicester, Coventry, Birmingham and Northampton.
