Salary: £18,000-£22,000 (Pro-rota basis)

I am currently working with an RIBA Chartered Practice, based in Cambridge, who are looking for an Experienced Part 1 or Part 2 Architectural Assistant on an initial 4-month contract.

Our client undertakes all services associated with a Chartered Architects Practice. The company is built upon shared values within a sustainable approach to the material used and construction. They have won local awards for small site developments and residential buildings.

The company has over 8 years' experience with extensive design and delivery experience gained during international design practice, designing and leading large-scale projects in the UK.

Key Duties as an Experienced Part 1 or Part 2 Architectural Assistant you will be:

• Working as part of a small team, producing drawings and producing and submitting planning applications
• Assisting in the preparation of drawings, reports, visualisations, schedules and specifications
• Producing planning application drawings and develop further detailed stages suitable for Building Regulation applications, tender and construction
• Liaising with clients and other consultants to develop designs and prepare documentation for tender purposes, including specification writing

Essential skills/ qualifications for this Experienced Part 1 or Part 2 Architectural Assistant role:

• Part 1 or 2 qualified
• Proactive and Independent worker
• Capability to collaborate, to innovate and to learn;
• Knowledge of UK planning policies and building regulations
• Excellent technical, communication and organisational skills
• Exceptional portfolio and design skills
• Proven track record of detailed design and delivery of projects on site

Commutable Locations:

Cambridge, Northampton, Essex, Peterborough
