Architect Studio Leader

RIBA Chartered Practice seeks an experienced Architect Studio Leader to join their team on an initial one year fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. Ideally you will have proven design and delivery experience on a varied range of projects across all scales and complexities. Previous experience coordinating projects through all the work stages, along with internal team management and resourcing is essential.

If you are able to lead a small studio team, including performance management and have exceptional client facing and design skills, this role could be for you. We are based in our Sheffield studio although this role will initially require home working due to the current pandemic.

Responsibilities include:

Understanding our clients’ objectives, requirements and budget for the project.

Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the projects.

Making sure that each stage of the project is progressing on time and on budget.

Ensure project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored.

Coordinating work by external consultants & internally with the rest of the team.

Managing team members’ performance through clear objectives and review.

Liaising with Senior Management Team to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key skills:

Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Outstanding communication and presentation skills, alongside the ability to liaise effectively with other team members, clients, consultants and contractors.
