Salary: £75,000 - £80,000 per annum depending on experience
Location: London HQ or flexible/remote working
Hours: 35 hours per week, permanent contract
The RIBA is aiming to lead the way in developing a more equitable, diverse and inclusive architecture profession. We are seeking a passionate and talented individual to lead our inclusion and diversity strategy both internally and externally. You will have the opportunity to shape the direction of travel of this 186-year-old Institute and contribute to the RIBA being a great place to work, as well as a champion for a more diverse profession.
We are committed to building on our inclusion and diversity work at the RIBA and we are about to embark on the delivery of numerous initiatives and projects seeking to better understand, celebrate and expand upon the diversity of our workforce. The Director of Inclusion & Diversity will be responsible for shaping and programme managing the implementation of interventions dedicated to enhancing and supporting an inclusive culture across the profession. With a remit spanning both national and international, the role will report directly into the Chief Executive and work alongside the executive team to deliver an ambitious inclusion and diversity programme.
The right person will be a subject-matter expert on inclusion and diversity with experience in multinational organisations, preferably a professional body. You will have demonstrable experience designing and delivering an inclusion and diversity strategy that targets its members/customers/users and leading on inclusion and diversity at a senior level within a membership body, not-for-profit or other relevant organisation.
With a wide remit, both internal and external in focus, you will be highly skilled at managing multiple projects and relationships with high profile stakeholders in order to deliver tangible outcomes and return on investment. You will possess excellent people management skills as well as be able to operate with a clear, concise and accessible approach.
