An opportunity for an experienced Project Architect to join an established and highly successful property development and management business.
Operating in the UK since the 1950’s, our client is a privately owned business developing and managing properties within the residential and commercial sectors. Due to continued and planned growth, our client is now looking to recruit a Project Architect to take full responsibility for all architectural work within the business, a function previously outsourced and a brand new in-house role.
The successful candidate will take a lead role on projects, which over the next 12 months include 6 sites in Surrey ranging in size from 4 units – 300+ units.
Reporting to the MD, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management of projects through all RIBA stages. As a new role within the business you will be encouraged to set out the parameters and detail of this role, initially leading on the selection and implementation of CAD and design software.
Required Skills & Experience
- ARB registered with a minimum of 3+ post qualification experience in the UK
- Familiarity with planning, CDM, JCT and building regulations
- Proven experience managing projects through all RIBA stages of work
- Strong all round design and detailing skills
- Proven record of both tender and construction sets for residential refurbishment projects and new build housing/flats
- Experienced working alongside contractors to ensure quality and compliance
The role will suit a proactive self starter, excited by the opportunity to take on such a new role within an expanding company. The successful candidate will be joining a non corporate business in which all staff are encouraged to offer ideas/solutions and to implement change. For the right candidate, the role offers huge potential for growth and development. A fun office environment, with the promotion of a strong ‘work/life balance’, including a walk across the road to the local pub.
