A property group based in West London who delivers contemporary, high-end residential affordable properties is looking for a senior furniture designer to join their team. The company offers services covering design, manufacturing, project management and property management. The ideal candidate for this role will have extensive experience in furniture and joinery design, particularly for woodwork. They must also have strong skills within AutoCAD, Solidworks and ideally IMOS (but you will be trained otherwise). The role will include the preparation of drawings for the manufacturing process, material quantification, preparation schedules of quantities and creating a Bill of Materials (BOMs) for each project. You'll be a key member to a long established, small and agile team working closely with the factory manager.

Key skill requirements:

  • Strong skills in either AutoCAD, Solidworks or IMOS and have been using this on live project drawing and revision control.
  • +5 years of joinery design experience
  • Excellent sketching and communication skills.
  • Solving creative and technical problems both internally and with external clients.
  • Ability to design for core wood shop machinery, including designing parts for 3 & 5 axis CNC machining.
  • Self motivated and able to work to proactively support the work of the group's Lead Architect and Senior Technical Designer

This is an immediate start. If you have a background in furniture and joinery design, please get in touch ASAP. For the foreseeable future this role will be working remotely, however you will be expected to work in the West London offices when possible.
