An established and successful conservation focussed architectural practice based North East of the Cotswolds, have an urgent requirement for an Architect to join their team on a permanent basis.

Our client is delivering a number of exciting projects throughout the Oxfordshire area and throughout the UK. You will get the chance to work across both the residential and commercial sectors as part of a small, but very friendly team.

Essential skills/ qualifications for this Architect (Conservation Projects) role:

  • Part 3 qualified and ARB registered
  • Ideally you will already have a minimum of 1 years' worth of experience post Part 3 working in the in the UK
  • Ideally you will have experience in the conservation sector (but a passion and interest in working within conservation is also fine!)
  • Have strong knowledge of AutoCad and SketchUp
  • Good hand sketching abilities
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • A UK driving licence & ideally your own transport

To work as an Architect (Conservation Projects) you will be:

  • Working as part of a team, assisting on development of design proposals
  • Assisting in the preparation of drawings, reports, visualisations, schedules and specifications
  • Coordinating designs with other members of the team
  • Helping to manage and lead projects from start to finish
  • Liaising with team with the team regarding additional input from third party consultants
  • Development of specification and tender documentation
  • Ensuring the schemes is checked by a senior team member
  • Ensuring the checklist is compiled for the tender pack
  • Ensuring the contract is completed by the team
  • Developing links with contractors and other consultants. Organising regular site meetings, typically monthly
  • Attendance of meetings
  • Completion of valuations
  • Issuing inspection reports after site visits
