Salary: £12,000 per annum
Location: Home-based consultant
Hours: 10 hours per week, Consultant contract

The Journal of Architecture is jointly published by the RIBA and Taylor & Francis. It was launched in 1995 and is the longest standing, continuously published, international, refereed publication on architecture based in the UK. It has become widely recognised as one of the foremost journals in its field.

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Executive Editor to coordinate and manage the journal. The candidate should have excellent written communication skills and experience in writing/and or editing a journal, as well as a knowledge of the context of research and scholarship in architecture. Educated to at least degree level with expertise in the built environment, a background in postgraduate research would be desirable.

Main responsibilities include: management of peer-reviewed and non-peer-reviewed manuscripts, copyediting, overseeing proof stage, close coordination of the annual programme with the Editor in Chief, arranging annual Editorial Board meetings and supporting social media activity.
