Our architecture and design team are at the centre of our creativity and innovation, we continually strive to ensure the projects we deliver are to the highest standard and we are looking to recruit a Senior Architect to join our Norwich based team.

We are looking for a highly motivated, driven and experienced candidate who can lead high profile projects as lead designer and manage a team of design staff associated with each project. The successful candidate will be confident in ensuring projects are effectively managed, designed and delivered to our client’s brief.

This is an excellent opportunity work with an established professional team working across a diverse range of commercial and education projects. The team enjoys a unique approach to project delivery whereby you will work with a diverse and talented team of, Architects, Interior designers, Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors and Engineers working in a single collaborative multidisciplinary environment.

You will be expected to:

  • Provide a full ‘Architectural Service’ as described in the RIBA Plan of Work and the Standard Form of Agreement for the Appointment of an Architect
  • Perform as Lead Designer at all RIBA stages on multiple projects with a hands-on delivery approach.
  • Manage the mutil-discplinary design team on a project-by-project basis ensuring all information is quality checked and coordinated at key milestones in the design process.
  • Work closely and support the Senior team in the successful delivery of all projects. Ensuring the business needs and goals are understood and followed through within the delivery of each project.
  • Carrying out quality assurance for the overall design packages, ensuring clients’ requirements are met and designs reflect our reputation
  • Delivering high standards of design, construction and contract management.
  • Mentoring Junior members of the team and supporting them with strong Architectural experience led direction throughout their studies.
  • To work in a deadline driven environment, taking responsibility for the overall delivery of RIBA stage packages and managing your teams workload to meet strict deadlines.

We are looking for you to demonstrate a combination of technical knowledge, project experience and management capabilities to succeed in this role.

Qualifications & Associations

  • Professional Membership of the Architects Registration Board
  • Professional Chartered Membership of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA)

Skills & Experience

  • Senior Architectural experience within an architectural studio
  • Proficient in the use of relevant software, including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, REVIT (We will provide ongoing training and support in BIM software)
  • Managing a multi-disciplinary team, providing a mixture of technical and design lead support to colleagues having undertaken projects with public and private clients within the education sector
  • The knowledge and ability to input into profit and loss control, resource calculations and fee management on individual projects
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to present in front of clients, and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders
