Architect / Architectural Designer

In order to be successful, candidates must have proven experience within an aviation team in the following:

• Involvement from concept and scheme design stages of work, right through to on-site construction completion and post-completion stages
• Completing feasibility studies for increased passenger capacity and improving passenger flow
• Designing and developing floor plan options, component design and wayfinding strategies
• Coordinating and delivering General Arrangement drawings and progress reports
• Developing BIM workflows to achieve land use plan for coordination with other teams and produce drawings, diagrams, land use schedule via a range of software programmes.
• Masterplan design experience and ability to review Geographic Information System shapefiles and researching sustainable requirement in order to improve the current masterplan.

Knowledge, skills and qualities required:

• Proven technical knowledge and experience within an aviation related project.
• Good design sensitivity and understanding of structural connections and technical details
• Transportation expertise in underground and overground developments (linked to airports)
• Experience in coordination of multi-disciplinary teams and integration of architectural and structural works with the electrical, mechanical and signalling system for Rail architectural projects (linked to airports)
• Strong graphical ability
• Ability to communicate with clients, consultants and contractors in order to further develop  suitable design solutions

Knowledge, skills and qualities desired:

• ARB registration or overseas equivalent registration
• Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design membership

Advanced Software skills required:

• Revit Architecture 
• Autodesk CAD and Navisworks
• SketchUp Pro (including V-Ray and SU Podium)
• Adobe Creative Suite
• Autocad map 3D
• Rhinoceros 3D
• Grasshopper 3D

Software skills desired:

• Bentley MicroStation
• AECOsim Building designer
