Barski Developments Ltd is a general contractor providing construction services with a particular emphasis on quality. We have qualified professionals able to provide project management services as well as our own in house design team allowing us to provide complimentary design service as required.
We have been in existence for 15 years and to date have specialised in medium sized, new build and refurbishment projects from a broad range of industry sectors, the value of which is steadily increasing as our clients ask us to look at ever more demanding projects. Our core markets are light industrial and residential projects, which involve the full range of construction services from project planning in partnership with our clients to the delivery of the project on site, incorporating all the major trades.
The role of the design and build assistant is to provide a practical and cost effective technical service. This will encompass site evaluation, architectural and engineering design, and the investigations of any technical problems encountered and provision of economical and viable solutions. This may involve liaison with, appointment of and co-ordination of external professionals, as well as interpreting information from the design team and providing detailed design information for the construction team, enabling projects to be completed within programme, budget and specification requirements.
Candidate must be able to work within a small, hardworking team to deliver construction projects varying from industrial and commercial projects to high end residential on time and under budget. Should be proficient in CAD, able to communicate clearly with clients and consultants and be hard working. Skills required include coordination and production of contractor design packages, problem solving, efficient planning and programming, knowledge of construction methods and techniques and building regulations and cost management skills. Good interpersonal skills and a sense of humour are essential.
- Previous work experience as an Assistant Design Coordinator or Technical Assistant is preferable. However, as a minimum, will also consider bright, ambitious and intelligent graduates, who are passionate about carving a career in design management within construction.
- Would suit a Part II RIBA architect graduate or equivalent who is more inclined towards the technical/ problem solving/ site based aspects of the profession.
- Must have the right to work in the UK and current paperwork to support.
- Full UK Driving Licence
