Chartered Building Surveyor - Chester

Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 + Benefits

My client is a well-established Building Consultancy who are a multi-disciplinary practice and have expanded themselves with offices all over the UK. The company specialise in Architecture, Surveying, Engineering and Expert Witness and presently they are in search for an ambitious Chartered Building Surveyor to join their office in Chester.

A typical day as a Chartered Building Surveyor will include:

• Providing advice to clients and consultants on how to maintain properties, construction, design and refurbishment on a range of residential and commercial properties
• Abide by all Building and Planning standards and regulations whilst on site, giving advice or carrying out any work
• Prepare schedules of dilapidations on land and buildings
• Carry our contract administration for maintenance work, planning maintenance, taking on site and writing up specifications
• Produce a diverse range of reports for dilapidations, expert witness, home buyers and valuations
• Identify training and development needs for other consultants, then working with the Directors to address these and plan the best plan of action

Skills and Experience needed as a Chartered Building Surveyor:

• MRICS Qualification with a minimum of 12 months PQE would be ideal
• Knowledge in party wall and preferably a qualification
• Experience in Project Management with ability to lead on a project and use own initiative
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Previous experience in negotiating and problem solving
