Paul Vick Architects is recruiting a qualified Part-III architect to join its team in west London.

We are currently looking for a talented and motivated individual with an open mind and the ability to contribute and pick up our way of doing things. The team is flexible, and projects are multi-disciplinary across cultural, commercial and residential, so we are looking for someone eager to learn.

Essential:

• Qualified Part III architect (ARB) – with some UK office experience
• excellent communication skills, English fluency is essential. Successful candidates will be expected to liaise directly with clients, consultants, contractors and local authorities
• technical experience with detailing and specifications
• excellent design understanding and passion for architecture
• proof of right to work in the UK
• knowledge of UK planning policies and building regulations

Desired skills:

• proficient in MicroStation, SketchUp, Photoshop and InDesign
• confidence in working independently and willingness to take on responsibility and develop new skills quickly
• maturity and ability to communicate effectively with the team
• excellent organisational skills and ability to follow systems
• construction site experience

Initial outputs will be – but are not limited to:

• develop design from pre-planning sketches
• develop design according to building control regulations
• prepare presentations to express design ideas and fit outs
• liaise with consultants and contractors
• detail and coordinate packages
• undertake site inspections
