Design Architect (Part III or Part II)

CADI Architects seeks an adventurous recently qualified architect with design talent and good Rhino skills to join a new concept design team in China.  You will get the chance to work on large projects which will both challenge and extend you.

Your ability to think fast and come up with exciting, buildable design ideas is the most important skill you can offer us. You also need to be proficient in Rhino. The post is most suitable for part II or part III graduates, but we will also consider part I year out students who have the right skills.

Water Stone has a staff of around 80, currently working mostly on construction design. The new concept design team will take the lead on developing the quality of the company's design work, working closely with the company's new BIM team and supported by the engineering and construction teams.

Projects are complex and fast-moving, so you need to be willing to work in an intensive environment where deadlines can be tight. The working atmosphere is friendly and supportive with many colleagues who speak English and are excited about the prospect of working with you.

You will be provided with a comfortable salary (depending on your level of qualification) and benefits package (to include air fares), also with language and cultural support. For year out students, we can offer support with the PEDR as the Design Director is ARB registered and familiar with the RIBA qualification process.

The post is available from March/April 2019, initially a one-year contract, renewable annually.
