Arc Partnership support public sector clients in the creation of efficient, safe and sustainable land and property portfolios. Arc is an exclusive supplier of multi-disciplinary property design, planned maintenance, programme management and planned services on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council.

We are looking to recruit a Design Coordinator to support the coordination and integration of design and delivery and key pre-construction activities across the Design, Pre-Construction, Commercial, Project Management and Compliance and Delivery teams in Arc Partnership.

​The role:

  • ​Working collaboratively with team members to ensure that projects are delivered on schedule, to budget and achieving the outcomes set down for a successful delivery.
  • ​Reporting project discrepancies on a timely basis to ensure corrective action can be agreed and implemented.
  • ​Display skill, imagination and sensitivity in communicating and collaborating with diverse clients and multidisciplinary design teams during the development and delivery of technical work stages.
  • ​Contribute to quality management systems and be capable of working within quality-controlled systems and procedures.
  • ​Support design management protocols to ensure clear communication of expectations and deliverables with designers, project team and contractors.
  • ​Co-ordination across design teams of key building design and process standards including key RIBA work stages, Arc Roles and Responsibilities, QMS, BIM etc.
  • ​Attend design team meetings where required, project and individual design discipline meetings, reporting on any areas of concern.
  • ​Enforce office standards, regulations, and procedures across design teams.
  • ​Support design teams in the coordination, prioritisation, and management of key deliverables.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • ​Proven experience of coordinating design functions within a multi-facetted construction design, project management and contracting business.
  • ​Experience across a range of sectors including for example; new build, refurbishment, conservation, retrofit, and sustainable and environmental design.
  • ​Experience working as part of a design consultancy or contractor team working with a variety of clients and stakeholders.
  • ​Knowledge of current & emerging design, construction and environmental issues, legislative requirements and statutory responsibilities.
  • ​A thorough understanding of commercial design, construction cost planning, tenders and financial control of projects.
  • ​Experience in the use of project programming software, e.g. Microsoft Project, Asta Power Project, Cemar etc.
  • ​Well-developed interpersonal skills to work effectively and collaborate with internal and external teams and an ability to exercise tact, diplomacy and reconcile differences.
