The RIBA is a global professional membership body, and a cultural organisation, driving excellence in architecture.

Salary: £25,088 - £29,000 per annum depending on experience

Location: London (hybrid return to our offices planned from September 2021)

Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week, 12-month fixed-term contract

Do you have an interest in championing learning opportunities for pupils and young people?

We are currently recruiting for a creative and experienced person to deliver RIBA’s schools programme. The postholder will have the opportunity to work with a well-established and inspiring learning programme delivered in schools in London and the South-East, at our HQ in London and online.

This role is integral to the delivery of the RIBA’s broader cultural activities, and includes a wide range of audience focused opportunities such as:

·     National Schools Programme – a high-achieving unique programme partnering architects and schools

·     Architecture Ambassadors – cultivation, recruitment and training of our Architecture Ambassadors

·      Digital programming – expanding our existing digital offer for schools

·      Collection access – revealing and expanding pupils’ access to our world-class collection and historical headquarters.

·      High impact projects – ensuring we actively reach out to new and underrepresented audiences.

All deliverables will be underpinned by best practice in learning with a strong focus on creativity and play. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues delivering our informal learning programmes for children/families, older adults and communities.

As our Schools Programme Coordinator, you will bring experience of high-quality cultural programming, a sound understanding of working with schools, strong motivational skills and an aptitude for teamwork. You will also be passionate about inclusion and diversity. Your ability to transform curriculum based learning to meaningful and inspiring sessions will make you a stand-out candidate for the role.

In return, we offer a great package, great working environment, great colleagues and the chance to really make a difference. We welcome and encourage job applicants from all backgrounds and sector experience.

The RIBA offers employees a range of staff benefits including 26.5 days of annual leave + half-day for Christmas shopping, paid closure between Christmas & New Year, season ticket loan and generous pension scheme. For more details on our benefits click here
