Job Details

Be part of the vision; be part of the RIBA.

The RIBA is a global professional membership body, and a cultural organisation, driving excellence in architecture.

Salary: £37,000 - £40,000 per annum dependent on experience

Location: Initially working remotely with return to London office in due course

Hours: 35 hours per week, 12-month fixed term contract (though we’re very happy to discuss part-time working and job-shares)

Since 1834, The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) has championed better buildings, communities and the environment through architecture and its members.

A fantastic opportunity has come up for an architect with UK specification and practice experience to work with us in the CPD Providers Network team in London. More than 42,000 architects and other specifiers received free RIBA-assessed Providers Network CPD in more than 5,300 in-practice events last year, choosing from more than 1,400 pieces of material.

We are looking for an architect to join us as CPD Assessment Manager.  You will lead on assessing technical CPD content for the RIBA CPD Providers Network.  Working with terrific teams at the RIBA and NBS, and directly with manufacturers, you will be able to make a difference to quality and standards for CPD for other architects. As part of this successful business, you will assess CPD material from the subscribing construction product manufacturers.

You will have professional qualification in a relevant built environment discipline (for example, architect, architectural technologist or building services engineer). You will also have UK technical experience, and will have worked as an architect or in a related discipline in the UK in a practice, a construction industry organisation or in the UK regulatory environment.

You will also have demonstrable understanding and experience of issues pertinent to UK architects: health, life and fire safety and the CDM Regulations; sustainable design and construction; inclusive environments; safe UK specification practice; and UK construction legislation and regulations. Note: If you do not have the requisite qualifications and UK experience your application will not be considered.

You will also have good IT skills, experience of working with Microsoft applications, and digital information and collaboration tools.  You will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, understandable, high quality reports for customers.

In return we offer a great package, great working environment, great colleagues and the chance to really make a difference. If you think you have what it takes to perform this role effectively, then we’d love to hear from you.
