DESCRIPTION:

Because of continued growth this is a great opportunity to join a well-established, award winning, RIBA Chartered Practice located in the South Downs. The team work out of our recently renovated Grade II, open plan studio which has contributed to the practices growth and creates a great working environment.

The practice has a track record of working on exciting residential projects, including individual one-off new builds and larger development work. As a practice we also work in other sectors including education, commercial and transport infrastructure as well as Listed Buildings ranging from Grade II through to Scheduled Monuments.

The company has grown successfully over recent years and is now seeking to recruit a new talented and motivated Project Architect/ RIBA Part 2/3 Architectural Assistant to join our team and help the practice develop further.

JOB ROLE (not limited to):

  • The role would include working on feasibility studies, preparing planning drawings and documentation, developing building regulation packages as well as preparing and undertaking competitive tenders and construction information.
  • The role is client facing and you will be liaising with clients and other consultants on a daily basis. Depending on experience, the role may also include undertaking measured surveys.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • You need to hold a BA Hons/ BArch/ MA in Architecture and/ or RIBA Part 2 or 3, or similar/ equivalent, whilst membership with RIBA/ARB would be considered an advantage, but is not essential.
  • You must be able to run multiple projects at the same time and be able to manage your own time and prioritise workload.
  • Experience of residential work from extensions through to one-off houses and multiple unit development work is desirable, but not essential.
  • You need a good eye for detail and a good knowledge of current UK Planning legislation and Building Regulations.
  • A good level of knowledge of AutoCAD is essential along with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience of Sketch-Up and Photoshop is desirable, but not essential.
  • As the practice is relatively rural a full UK driving licence and your own car is essential.
  • You will have good communication skills to communicate with clients, colleagues and other consultants.
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
